Privacy Policy for Azimuth

Azimuth respects your privacy.

Azimuth is an iOS app that sends your device's location to an HTTPS endpoint that you configure. Azimuth does not operate any server that receives your location, and the developer never sees your location data.

Information We Collect

• Precise location — your latitude and longitude (and optionally speed, altitude, accuracy, and battery level), captured on your device and transmitted to the URL you configure.
• Device ID — a random UUID generated on your device when you first launch the app. It is not tied to your Apple ID, advertising identifier, or any cross-app identifier. It is included in each request so that the endpoint you operate can distinguish requests from your device.
• Bearer token (optional) — if you provide one, it is stored on your device in the iOS Keychain and sent as the Authorization header in each request.

How Information Is Used

Location data, device ID, and the bearer token leave your device only via HTTPS requests to the URL you have configured. No data is sent to the developer or any third party. We do not operate a backend, analytics service, or advertising network.

Where Your Data Goes

You choose the destination URL. The party who controls that URL receives your data and is responsible for how it is stored, used, retained, and protected. You are encouraged to use only endpoints you control or trust.

Sharing

Azimuth does not sell, rent, or share personal information. Azimuth does not include third-party SDKs that collect data.

Your Control

• Disable tracking at any time via the in-app toggle. When tracking is off, no further requests are sent.
• Revoke location permission via iOS Settings → Azimuth.
• Delete the app to remove all on-device data, including the device ID, configuration, send history, and any queued offline sends.

Data Retention

Azimuth retains the device ID, configuration (endpoint URL, schedule, payload toggles), recent send history, and any queued offline sends only on your device, only for as long as the app is installed.

Children's Privacy

Azimuth is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Tracking

Azimuth does not track users for advertising or cross-app linking.
